OPICS Upgrades & Conversions

Have performed complete major version OPICS product upgrades and conversions, both technical and functional, alone and in teams. For example, conversion of OPICS to Euro Currency. Most recently responsible for OPICS system conversions required to comply with new IFRS (IAS) reporting regulations.

OPICS Data Interfacing

Several projects relating to interfacing of data imported to and exported from OPICS from and to various data providers/receivers. For example, daily download of fixed income security closing prices from Bloomberg to OPICS. And, extraction of OPICS data for monthly automated download to Dutch Central Bank.

OPICS Customization

Many projects involving customization of OPICS, its data, manipulation and presentation.

Static Data Warehouse Application

Boaz Consultancy has been responsbile for the design, programming and implementation of a static data warehouse management application (SDM) providing the following functionality:

  • All communication activities with static data sources (i.e., data providers), both internal and external and subsequent retrieval of said data; thus providing for all importation functionality of data to the data warehouse;
  • All internal management required to support this retrieved data, including configurable reconciliation mechanism; thus providing for all internal management functionality of data held within the SDM;
  • All extraction/transmission functionality of data for receipt by internal downstream end-user application(s); thus providing for all extraction functionality of data from the SDM.

A general design allowing for the following development capabilities:

  • an unlimited number of static data providers to be generically as well as specifically defined and included as part of the SDM;
  • an unlimited number of end-user applications to be generically as well as specifically defined and included as part of the SDM;

Thus providing for easy, consistent and straight-forward development of yet unknown future requirements related to data requiring central management, its implementation and maintenance.

General Projects

Lead consultant in many projects involving implementation and/or upgrade of Misys banking applications, both in teams and alone. Performed successfully and effectively within high-pressure Wall Street environments (trading floors, etc.).
